Savannah Sutherland Inspires at Gordie Howe Sports Complex

Athletes at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex had a memorable day meeting Savannah Sutherland, one of Canada’s elite track and field talents. Savannah took the time to encourage the next generation of athletes, sharing her presence and support with those training on the same ground where she once competed.

For those unfamiliar with her achievements, Savannah is a standout. Originally from Borden, SK, and developed through the Saskatoon Track & Field Club, she is a two-time NCAA 400m hurdles champion, the NCAA record holder, and the Canadian record holder. She placed 7th at the most recent Olympic Games, proving her place among the world’s best.

Savannah will continue her impressive season at the Edmonton Invitational on July 13, where she will test her speed against strong competition. Following that, she is set to compete at the World Athletics Championships in September, representing Canada on the biggest stage in the sport.

Keep an eye on Savannah — her drive, talent, and dedication make her one of the most exciting athletes to watch as she continues to reach new heights.
