Tayen Werner — SaskSport August Athlete of the Month

We are thrilled to share that our very own Tayen Werner has been named August Athlete of the Month by Sask Sport, following a string of outstanding performances on the national stage.

🏅 What She’s Accomplished

  • At the U20 Canadian National Championships, Tayen ran a personal best in the women’s 400m and took home the gold medal. (As well as finishing 9th in the 200m)
  • A few weeks later, representing Team Saskatchewan at the Canada Summer Games in Newfoundland, she earned gold in both the women’s 400m and the 4×400m relay.

Congratulations again, Tayen! Everyone at the Saskatoon Track & Field Club couldn’t be more proud.
